Austen BioInnovation Institute of Akron

Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron (ABIA) is focused on patient-centered innovation and commercialization at the intersection of biomaterials and medicine, with the goal of pioneering life-enhancing and life-saving innovation that will transform Akron into a model for biomedical discovery and enterprise.


BioEnterprise is a business formation, recruitment and acceleration initiative designed to grow Northeast Ohio healthcare companies and commercialize bioscience technologies.


BioHio Research Park, an affiliate of The Ohio State University located on the campus of OSU’s Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center in Wooster, is a vehicle for moving agbioscience technology into the marketplace.

BrainTree Business Development Center

Braintree Business Development Center is a technology incubation and entrepreneurship facility located in the heart of Mansfield, Ohio. Braintree has a 75,000-square-foot building that, at any given time, houses 12 to 25 startup businesses.

10,000 Small Businesses

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a free practical business management education program that helps entrepreneurs gain the skills they need to grow a company. The program consists of 100 hours of instruction in addition to evening sessions such as networking events, legal and financial clinics, and other business assistance activities.


Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise (GLIDE) is a comprehensive regional innovation center, resource hub and business incubator that supports all facets of the growth of enterprises.

Higher Education Collaboration Council

The JumpStart Higher Education Collaboration Council is an organized collaboration of 22 Northeast Ohio-based higher education institutions and community members. The objective of the Council is to create a communication network that connects the higher education institutions to their communities, JumpStart and the Northeast Ohio entrepreneurial community.

Ohio Aerospace Institute
