Flashstarts is a startup accelerator and venture fund focused on innovative uses of software and technology, located in downtown Cleveland. Founded in 2012 by Charles Stack and Jennifer Neundorfer, Flashstarts aims to create wealth for the region by assisting startups throughout their validation, launch and growth.

Flashstarts' unique startup accelerator accepts 12 one-to-four person teams, swaps a $25,000 investment for 8% equity, and provides teams with hands-on coaching from its co-founders until a public Demo Day. Throughout a rigorous 12-week summer program, software startups leverage the talent of 20 interns and receive support from world-class mentors.

Co-founders Charles Stack and Jennifer Neundorfer are highly-involved dedicated coaches to each team in our program. They have expertise in retail, enterprise, and media software and experience with multiple successful launches and exits. Startup teams in our accelerator program will follow rapid cycles of iteration and feedback, and continuous market validation, and receive resources tailored to their needs.

Flashstarts provides teams in its accelerator program with access to a pool of 20 talented interns, through its award-winning summer internship program. These interns assist teams with software development, graphic design, marketing, public relations, and accounting. Flashstarts teams also have access to over 40 mentors, who are each an expert in their given field and are committed to helping our startup teams in the most efficient ways.

Flashstarts has an iterative application process: every team that applies will be reviewed, receive feedback, and be asked to respond to the feedback, until their acceptance to the program (Rinse and Repeat). While Flashstarts' specialties include Enterprise IT (EIT) and Healthcare IT (HIT), ideal candidates are startups with unique, problem-solving applications of software or technology that meet real market needs. Flashstarts accepts teams and solo entrepreneurs, because it believes there is no typical entrepreneur or founding team.

Upon acceptance to the startup accelerator, Flashstarts invests $25,000 in each team in exchange for 8% equity. After the initial 12-week program, select teams receive follow-on funding and continue receiving close support from Flashstarts for an additional nine months.

Flashstarts is located on the 21st floor of the Keith Building, above PlayhouseSquare's Connor Palace Theatre on Euclid Avenue.
