Northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurial ecosystem has received a lot of attention lately. From the President’s visit a couple months back to the launch of JumpStart America in partnership with Startup America, the nation certainly has something to learn from our area’s entrepreneurs and the organizations supporting the growth of their companies.
One of the regional organizations offering the nation a model is the Innovation Fund. This regional fund, which has invested $4.3 million in 60 Northeast Ohio companies and has a unique focus on providing college students real-life startup experience.
Entrepreneurs can learn more about Innovation Fund and its process at a free awareness meeting on Thursday, May 19th. The meeting will also include information on how to apply for federal grants, an overview of the space and assistance available at Northeast Ohio incubators, MAGNET’s engineering grants, and the resources available at the University of Akron Research Foundation.
Read more about other innovative features of the fund in a Huffington Post blog by JumpStart’s President, John Dearborn.
