LaunchHouse is committed to helping promising technology startups validate their ideas, via a combination of business development, education, networking and investment. A public-private partnership, LaunchHouse is both a lean startup accelerator and a space that functions as a hub of entrepreneurial innovation.
The LaunchHouse Accelerator is a 12-week, boot camp-style program for broad-based technology startups focused on software, mobile apps and hardware/robotics. Through a combination of a customer-centric curriculum, mentorship, business development and a $25,000 investment, the program focuses on helping promising tech entrepreneurs build successful companies.
The LaunchHouse space is a renovated 1950s-era car dealership located in Shaker Heights, Ohio. This 23,000 square-foot building provides space for co-working, conferences and prototyping, as well as information and education sessions and other entrepreneur-focused events.
Through a strong public-private partnership with the city of Shaker Heights, and with the support of Ohio Third Frontier, LaunchHouse has been able to create a home for Northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurs.
"We invest in high-growth-potential technology companies, but in terms of the types of people that utilize our space, it's everything from food, inventors, hackers, urban agriculture, musicians, photographers, artists.” – Dar Caldwell, Co-Founder, Shaker LaunchHouse
