A state grant of $175,000 will boost a business incubator program at Lorain County Community College.
The money will pay for advances at the Edison Incubator Program at the Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise, or GLIDE, at LCCC. State Rep. Matt Lundy, D-Elyria, and Rep. Dan Ramos, D-Lorain, announced the award this week.
The money will pay for a new Center for Advanced Systems Applications, where university and industry partners will access state-of-the-market equipment and marketing to develop sensor technology.
The project will enable GLIDE to continue its mission to provide support for existing technology companies while encouraging the creation and growth of early-stage technology companies, according to plans.
