Signet Enterprises has announced a $500,000 gift to establish the Signet Enterprises Executive Boardroom in the new health, wellness and medical education complex being constructed at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). This gift is the first of its kind for the community-facing structure, which serves as the final component of the University’s more than $160 million campus expansion efforts.

The half a million dollar gift supports the creation of a University Boardroom within the new facility and demonstrates the significant partnership between the University and Signet Enterprises, whose subsidiary, Akron-based Signet Development, is responsible for developing the health, wellness and medical education complex as well as the University’s first-ever, on-campus student housing, The Village at NEOMED.

“We are truly honored to be a part of the extraordinary campus transformation at NEOMED and our team is delighted to collaborate with the University on a project that will enrich the academic experience for NEOMED students, enhance the delivery of health care services for the community, and create a hub of activity on-campus for all of Portage County,” said Tony S. Manna, chairman of Signet Enterprises, LLC. “This project will encourage wellness, spur innovation, and provide NEOMED with a world-class facility that will enhance its competitive position in the market for decades to come.”

A shared commitment to the local community and Greater Akron region is at the heart of the organizations’ partnership.
